If You Have Anxiety Blow Bubbles

I was scrolling on Instagram when I came across a post that talked about how blowing bubbles can help with anxiety. This is something I never thought to try, so today I might go out and buy some bubbles.

They’re pretty, the don’t make a mess and they’re a fun, simple activity you can do just about anywhere. The best thing is if you a bubble wand already and you can make more bubbles at home with a bit of dishwashing liquid.

How it helps

What do you do when you blow bubbles? Breathe in deeply and exhale.
What do you do when you are feeling anxious? Breathe in deeply and exhale.

Controlled and deep breathing is a method that helps relax you during an anxiety attack. So, if managed breathing is the same method you use to blow bubbles then why not blow bubbles when you feel the anxiety hitting you?

Blowing bubbles is a little more fun than just doing deep breathing by itself. It might not cure your anxiety but it can help you manage it. Deep breathing can reduce panicked feelings, so next time you are feeling overwhelmed with anxiety get the bubbles out and start blowing.
