Imperfection Is Beauty.

A diamond depends upon flaws for its sparkle.

What is true beauty though? Think about that one person in your life who adores you for simply being you. Isn’t that great?

You become beautiful the moment you accept yourself.

  1. Loving yourself

It’s okay to have flaws, everyone has flaws but you should focus on the positive side of yourself. Love your goodness and your scars, your strengths and your vulnerabilities. It is this love, that can lead to a deeper satisfaction with life. If we could feel it even one time a day, it is love because there has never been a person like you, and there never will be. Self-acceptance is the key which makes you stronger mentally and physically. So simply remember you are beautiful the way you are.

2. You are good enough, you are unique.

There is a calm and sweet relief that will come from this. You are not perfect. You are not even close. What you are is enough. So much more than enough. And you have nothing to prove anyone.

3. Expect to feel uncomfortable.

We all feel insecure sometimes. There will always be someone with more of something we want. This can inspire us or suffocate us. Whether comparison grows us or crumbles us is ultimately our decision to make. The best solution for this is getting past the comparisons like I said, but also by doing things to get to know yourself. Once you gather who “you” really are, you’ll be less likely to feel astounded by what other people are doing.

4. Learn to prioritise yourself.

Why do you think that taking care of yourself is selfish? In our schedule, we tend to notice that we often look after our well being after everything else is in place. Why not treat yourself first? Remind yourself that you are worth it. And that self-care is not selfish. It is a necessity to connect with yourself and to pay attention to what you need, to expand your way of thinking about yourself and keep motivating yourself in every step of the way.

5. Seeking for perfection will ensure unhappiness.

Does the word ’perfect’ put forth true meaning? No. It’s pointless striving to become someone you’re not. Embrace the idea of growth and that we will always be a work in progress. We feel we need the perfect house, the perfect job — even perfect happiness but rather we just need to be real and true to ourselves.

6. Appreciate yourself

Learn to fall in love with what you do and celebrate your achievements. Do something for yourself that feels rewarding. Honour your growth and be grateful for where you are headed.

Everyone is beautiful, but not everyone sees it. So let’s remember to never focus on perfection and look beyond the imperfections where we will find happiness.
