Midnight

a free verse poem celebrating the greek goddess Nyx

Nyx shook
Midnight out of her hair
As she awoke
Bringing new life
To mornings call.

Stars fell upon us
As we sat at her feet.
Crowned in aureole dark mists,
We gazed upon her mysticism
Touching emotion within us.

We left and created
The things She inspired
Within us, and she was filled with joy.
This, in turn, filled our elated hearts,
And the circle was complete.

Thank you S. Stefan Karabacak for giving my words a platform here on
