Action Quotes in Sanskrit HBR Patel

This Sanskrit Quote from Bhagavad Gita is taken from the Shloka 8 of the Third Adhyay. Bhagwan Shri Krishna motivates Arjuna to Shed the intention of Inaction fostered by Ignorance and attachment. Bhagwan Shri Krishna says:

नियतं कुरु कर्म त्वं कर्म ज्यायो ह्यकर्मण: |
शरीरयात्रापि च ते न प्रसिद्ध्येदकर्मण: || 8||

Keeping this in mind, perform your prescribed Vedic action; since action is superior to inaction. Even it is impossible to sustain the body without action.

One should perform an action. Action is superior to inaction or the intention to perform the action.

Many of us awake with dreams unfulfilled. And the most envious of those are the ones that are lazy. They have big plans to fulfil but their capacity to endure hardships while working towards the goal is tiny.

They want to land on the moon, but they don’t want to leave their cosy chair or comfort zone of their office.

They want to lose the extra fat around their belly, but they don’t want to give up the comfort of a lift and embrace the effort of climbing stairs.
