All polish and no spit
That’s what they will say
What a terrible waste
Of a god-given gift
In the words, he type faced
In the positions he placed
Bearing such minimal sway

All spit and no polish
Fraught with so much cliché
Trite thoughts with no flash
In each lines dot and dash
Just no sense of panache
This form is simply passé
Shouldn’t be bound for display

Book Burning Photo by Robert Trakofler

I found this book in front of my house one morning. I didn't know what was the motivation for this act? At first, I thought maybe it was a critique of my poetry or perhaps I upset someone. But of course, I saved it and I keep it under glass at my store now. it is the antithesis of me and being me I will use it for something eventually.

All art is nothing without a witness and for yours, I am always grateful! Thank you for reading.
