The following was one of my favorite scenes from “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

Newt Scamander and Jacob Kowalski were searching Central Park in the middle of the night. They were looking for a dangerous beast that got loose.

Newt nonchalantly slipped a helmet and body armor on Jacob. He then proceeds to tell him there is nothing to worry about.

Jacob is not reassured. He asked Newt if anyone believes him when he says things like that.

Newt’s response quickly became one of my favorite quotes of all time.

“My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice.”

Newt Scamander

The situation made this quote hilarious. A creature dangerous enough to warrant a helmet and body armor is obviously worth worrying about.

But the quote is fascinating to think about once you stop laughing.

Does worrying ever actually help?

Or

Are we making ourselves suffer twice?

Who Says You Have to Worry Anyways?
