#1 It boosts your self esteem

When was the last time you criticized yourself?

Do you remember how it felt? If anything, not so good.

Implementing affirmations and paying attention to the way we speak to ourselves can have a meaningful positive impact on our mental health broadly, and our self-esteem specifically.

#2 It broadens your perspective

It has been scientifically proven that the human brain creates a pattern of thought to store information, even the assumptions you have about yourself.

Talking down to yourself, speaking in a demoralizing manner, and judging yourself for your mistakes will get your brain accustomed to that way of thinking. Hence, learning to use a positive way of addressing yourself will help break that chain.

#3 It enhances the sense of intentional thinking

Why do you want to speak better to yourself? What is the big picture? By Creating a new way of thinking, the positive and empowering mindset will become more of a habit.

Alike to growing a plant, a positive mindset doesn’t happen overnight; it requires a lot of emotional and mental energy, consistency, and the evolving intention to learn from the process of your own development.

One of my favorite fictional characters said: “One has to be happy to be successful”. As we are still in the season of goal setting and manifestation, the sooner we realize the effect our daily habits have on our lives, the more intentional our actions become; Often times, big changes start with small actions.

Thank you for reading,

I wish you the best on your journey!
