Three Little Kittens

Three little kittens
with or without their mittens
naughty or nice
they’re just being kittens!

Why should mama cat
“what?!” and guilt them
into being good cats?

Their drama mama
needs to chill
all is well
is all they need to hear

Let their mistakes be
let them find and clean their mittens
without your shrillness
your Highness!

It’s tiring enough
following them on their journey
have a little kindness on yourself
before you become lonely

pray in the day
while they play with clay
help right their wrongs
but you don’t have to go cray-cray

bless your heart
my fellow catty mom friend
let’s hold the peace and stillness
while our kids claw through without a clear plan!
