Before, songs came from the war

From manipulative governments

From religions and leaders

From people who suffered, from their souls

Now, songs come from money

From power and glory

From companies that pay fractions to their artists

From bitter love affairs of the writers

Where do songs come from?

I believe they ought to come from the souls, of people
