Age of Awareness — From the Founder
Happy New Year!
Hello all! I wanted to reach out and wish everyone a Happy New Year! It is wild to think that 2021 is already behind us! This ongoing pandemic has seemed to make me experience time in a different manner. And it has definitely had its impact on education. As I write this newsletter, over 10% of my staff is out of with Covid-related issues. Two years into this pandemic and we still haven’t figured out how to properly address it in schools.
We do have a lot of celebrate at Age of Awareness though. We had over 5.5 million visitors to the publication in 2021. In 2022, we want to keep up with the same level of engagement but we don’t want to get caught up in the numbers. We want to create those authentic connections with the education world and the readers.
Our podcast also took off this year. We had lofty goals to release two episodes per month but it actually came out to only one episode per month. It has proven to be much more work than we thought — reaching out, scheduling, recording, editing, and distributing episodes. We are happy to say that the podcast is listened to in over 70 countries around the world! Tune into all of our episodes here!
In 2022, we want to work to better engage our 45,000+ followers. We want to concentrate less on growing the community and more on engaging those that already follow. So, be on the lookout for more articles and podcast episodes on education, education reform, and the many changes happening every day in the world of learning! Thank you for your support!
