The pandemic has caused a suspension of our lives. Suddenly, we had time to observe, in an almost out-of-body experience, the society in which we operate our busy lives. Most of us did not like what they see, and some of us thought that this was a jolly good opportunity to hit the reset button and start on new and more solid bases.

As lockdowns are eased in the countries of the second wave (Europe, then, the U.S.), the window of opportunity to induce real change is closing fast. Corporations are shutting down projects and departments that were thinking about a better, greener, and more just world through products. Governments, after years when nobody was really listening to what they were saying, are exhilaratingly proposing old recipes. Monetary institutions are printing unsubstantiated money that props the stock market and make rich people even more prosperous, and the life of the middle class even more prohibitive.
What do we have to say about this? After all, corporations are alive because of us buying their products; governments sit because of our voting choices. Theoretically, we have enormous power. If we unite, we can trigger a company’s sudden death, or…
