What is climate change?
With the dawn of the industrial revolution, humans began burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas to foster industrial development. Fossil fuels come from the buried remains of fossilized plants and animals that lived millions of years ago. When they are burned to generate energy, all the carbon that was once stored beneath the Earth’s surface is released back into the atmosphere.
