I want to share with you some tips which you can use in any bad or anxious situation. It is called containment which is not only a distraction, it also helps us to get rid of any bad emotion or anxiety from our mind. There are two types of:

There are two types of Containments…

Dismissive

All behaviors (the way we think and act) are okay. Only when unhealthy behavior becomes repetitive, we need to contain it.

Dismissive containment used in meditation

We should not engage the thoughts we should not pay attention to thoughts. Only repetitive thoughts need to be released, we shouldn’t get into conversation and put energy into our thoughts.

Active Containment

If Something hurts and I try to dismiss it, but if something doesn’t go away.

Step 1. Identify the problem of why you are feeling freaked up.

Step 2. Identify what you think or believe about the problem. For example, i believe that I have cancer… (fiction fantasy)

Step 3. Determine if what you think or believe is healthy or unhealthy.

Healthy = Balanced and helpful

Unhealthy = Not helpful and out of balance

Is this realistic? Will this thing that way will help me?

No, it doesn’t.

Step 4. Challenge the unhealthy way of thinking… Do we have proof?

If it is true, it only hurts and that’s it. I don’t have to worry.

Step 5. Memorize it
