Europe’s Drying Rivers 2022

Some of the smaller rivers are dry, and the lost biological diversity does not return when it rains.

Ongoing droughts over the past 5 years have depleted Europe’s rivers of their surface water sources, and also their underground water sources as the water tables have dropped and not been recharged.
