Fate Is When Time Meets Opportunity

We create our destiny not the universe.

As an optimist, I believe we control our destiny. We have full control of our choices and our actions. We learn every day, we face different challenges, and the hard decisions we make are what shapes our life as we grow.

Understanding that though our life is orchestrated by a supernatural power, what we make of it afterwards is up to us. This is where fate and destiny come into force. Life is a delicate balance between the two.

Fate is described as a natural order in the occurrence that is inevitable, it can’t be changed no matter how hard we try. Fate is what happens when we don’t put in the effort to change and evolve. We let other people decide what happens in our life.

Destiny, on the other hand, is a choice. We choose what we do with our life. Destiny refers to a predetermined event, but unlike fate, certain qualities in a person like- courage, hard work, compassion, patience, and determination help shape one’s destiny.

The main difference between fate and destiny is that fate is unavoidable whereas destiny can be changed. To help you understand the difference better, let’s say you go to a party and meet a nice gentleman that was fate, but what you do with the relationship is your destiny.
