How well does “Don’t Look Up” reflect the Climate Crisis?

Are things really as bad as the new Netflix movie makes out.. or are they actually much worse?

[Movie spoilers alert!] This Christmas, instead of settling in with the usual fix of Home Alone or Jingle All the Way (my guilty pleasures), I tuned in to Netflix’s new movie — Don’t Look Up —( starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett to name but a few) — which has been stirring up controversy among critics for the past few days.
