There was a time when I was younger that, due to my health, I was stuck at home receiving home instruction while friends went out to malls, movies and shopping. It’s a difficult experience emotionally, mentally, physically and, because of the coronavirus pandemic, many of us are going to be in this unfortunate position. Quarantine or lockdown life is a challenge but important to help both ourselves, loved ones and our society that, truthfully, does not have to capacity to effectively hospitalize spiking numbers of COVID-19 victims.
So here’s a list of some anime that are going to at least entertain and keep you laughing. From rom-com to the absurd (how realistic can an anime be? a debate for another time…), here’s a list of anime that are available on various streaming services for your viewing and chuckling pleasure.
The majority of these shows are family friendly, so it will be a welcome respite and also, for some children, a fun way to introduce them to foreign shows as well as entertaining practice of reading quickly if you decide to watch the subtitled version over the dubbed version. Perhaps this could even become an educational reward — family viewing time after homework.
