What’s the misconception your research is trying to correct?

There’s a big difference between the way we do science, and the way we communicate science. Alan Alda explained this to me at a lecture he gave in San Diego back in 2015, when he was touring the country teaching faculty (like me) and graduate students about the value of improvisational theater for science communication.
