Not wanting to make mistakes is causing some students not to try. “I don’t know the answer,” said a student. “I don’t want to share my answer because I know it’s wrong,” said another student.
Is our school system fostering an environment where students are afraid to try for fear of failure? It is something that has never changed since I first started teaching.
