What Does It Mean To Be A Writer On Medium Today
A brief history of failures and successful experiments that helped Medium stand the test of time.
I have been writing on this platform since the September 2020. I discovered this platform by accident.
As someone who loves to document the things, I would usually share in my personal blog, but then I found Medium (while scrolling). Everything changed for me.
This is me sharing my experiences of using the platform for the past four years.

As someone who writes online, you know how hard it is to rank your content on the front page of Google and other search engines.
You put in tremendous effort into an article, only to then worry about using the ‘most searched’ or ‘trending’ keywords to increase hits. It was frustrating.
With Medium, we don’t need to worry about that. You can simply write your article with proper formatting, and Medium takes care of the rest. The platform has ranked several of my articles on the front page, and I’m incredibly grateful for the visibility.
As a writer, all you want is for your content to reach as many people as possible.
