If there’s one thing white women know how to do, it’s play victim. Granted, that method is a staple of white people overall. From reverse racism (newsflash for the clueless—no such thing) to white genocide paranoia, it seems white people are wired to fall into the role of victim when they be the role of hero. However, white supremacy also gives ample power to summon droves of brainless, hate-spewing monsters to white women. They turn on their charm, carefully choose their words and do the “what did I do to deserve this” dance until droves of the uncoordinated come to assist in a shoddy square dance.

An Asian-American writer, Roslyn, asked this valid question regarding cultural appropriation. There’s a long legacy of white people mining other cultures for profit. It’s a common occurrence everywhere, including the world of cooking. Pippa Middlehurst, a white lady, wrote a book called Dumplings and Noodles. Subtitled Bao, Gyoza, Biang Biang, Ramen — and Everything In Between. Yes, I’m serious.
