Wow! You guys!

We had an absolutely marvellous response to the prompt for our winter contest, with many fabulous essays. There were some harsh lessons, some tear-jerking moments, and a taste of those little things that brighten up difficult moments.

It has been a real treat to read through the beautiful writings of so many brilliant writers. So many tough lessons with silver linings! To all those who participated, I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to share your stories with us, and your beautiful words to express them.

I also want to thank the following members of our editorial team who not only volunteered themselves to be on the panel of judges, but to offer frankly brilliant systems to make the judging an easy and smooth job: Stephanie Wilson, Suzanne Pisano, and Arpad Nagy.

In addition, Stephanie stepped up and created a spreadsheet for us after declaring she had no idea how to do it. I was impressed! (That’s coming from someone who is out of her depth when it comes to spreadsheets.)
