How I Know Things Are Getting Better in Polyamory
After a period of polyamory-induced despair, I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel
I’ll be honest: this story about my life improving since my polyamory-induced mental health crisis has been sitting in my Google Docs folder for multiple weeks. I wrote it when I was feeling good, but since then, there have been several ups and downs. It almost felt dishonest to publish a claim that things were getting better when I wasn’t feeling it.
Now, however, I think that gives me all the more reason to publish it.
All of what I’ve written is still true. Things are getting better, even if I don’t always feel good. Identifying specific areas of change and growth is even more important when it’s hard to feel.
