Her daughter asked her if she would like to hold the baby. It was her granddaughter. She did hold her. But not with the enthusiasm that one might expect.

My friend’s daughter had used a donated egg to have a baby. It was her husband's sperm but for several reasons, they had used an egg from a donor.
