From shock and awe during childhood to almost schadenfreude a few decades later, my thoughts on the different shades of non-existence.

I was around nine when, one day, I heard my dad’s voice from the kitchen going, “Really? Wow!” and I knew that something unprecedented had happened. Wow was never part of dad’s vernacular.
