The Fault In Our Stars

The fault in our stars,
All I ever wanted was you, embraced in my arms
All I ever wanted was peace, to go to sleep at the sound of a thousand guitars
And what did I get? Scars, only scars.

That’s the fault in our stars,
That’s the pain in our hearts,
The raging fury burning all the tiny parts
that make us who we are.

That’s destiny,
too many lives taken away,
But who would have thought that you, my love, I would have to bury?

The fault in our stars
The gashes in our hearts
Nothing left to hold in my arms.
