A life without regret is hard to imagine, and that’s why we have an opinion on what things we would have done differently if we got a second chance.

Guess what? Life does give us a second chance. Not when we are ready and prepared for the worst, but often when we are caught off guard as a test. That’s why I stay proactive during unexpected situations instead of being reactive.

Recently, while hanging out with my friends, one of them popped the question about the #1 regret and what advice each of us would give our younger self if we had a chance.

Like everyone, I also came up with my top regret and a question I would ask my younger self.

But after hearing the responses from everyone else, my problems felt tiny when I looked at the big picture.

Mistakes are a way for us to avoid doing things we don’t want or something that is clearly not working in our favour. They guide us to improve our odds against failure.
