White males dominate tech and this is bad!

The tech world is dominated by white, traditional sexual oriented males and this is bad. Classification by gender, color or sexual preference is wrong in any way. It just shouldn’t be a topic. Just work with everyone. Be open. Give prejudices no chance.

At the end it comes to building technology for humans. For all kind of humans. By all kind of humans.

To me having a diverse team is all about having different backgrounds and pasts. Have a team with people mixed from all over the world and you will have all kind of experience and opinions which will lead to better and comprehensive discussions and therefore better and comprehensive software.

I personally was part of a couple of tech teams and it is not easy building a diverse team.

It is important that we start very early motivating people to join the tech world being as open and encouraging as possible.

Minimizing the digital divide is one of the most challenging problems we will face in the near future. We need to get everyone on the tech train to get out of this self-reinforcing loop.
