One of the challenges that many program managers and delivery managers face is how to decide when to move from one phase to another in a complex and uncertain environment. For example, how do you know when you have refined your problem statement enough to start planning your initiative? Or when you have enough information to start delivering your solution?

In this blog post, I will share some tips and best practices that can help you make these decisions with confidence and clarity.

I will also compare and contrast the agile and waterfall approaches to program management, and how they deal with uncertainty and change.
