Leading high performing agile teams is about exceeding expectations consistently.. Here’s how

In this article I discuss the characteristics of a high performing team, and how you can adopt some effective strategies to take your team to the next level.

How do you know if you have a high performing team?

Firstly, focus on doing better than what is expected, simply by exceeding those expectations. To do this, think about how you can achieve clear goals at a consistent and sustainable pace.

Achieving clear goals

High-performing team seek clarity on their goals. Team members embrace the fact that a goal will evolve over time. As the goal evolves, team members are moving together towards it.

Sustainability

As stated in the Agile Manifesto, teams “should be able to maintain a constant pace indefinitely.”

High-performing teams do this time, and time again. If you focus and understand this, it will help shape the set up of your high-performing team that consistently delivers value that exceeds expectations.
