Spike is used to finding out the missing element of the user story to complete. Developer has to estimate the spike story during the Sprint planning session.
2 years ago, an incident happened. I still remember, my team was struggling with SOAP WSDL generation during the first time when they were planning to integrate with another system.
The challenge was to generate the java classes from the WSDL on code build using ant script. The team was generating the java classes separately and copying the files manually to the codebase. This was a hectic approach because the team should know the jar name and the version, every time when the classes are getting generated. The same jar should use to generate classes for all the WSDLs.
Did you experience similar issues? How did you process it?
