As we bid farewell to the most peculiar year of the last… who knows decades, we welcome a new, hopeful, promising, exciting year! 2021 is here and we couldn’t be happier. Why? Because now is the perfect opportunity to give you not 1, nor 2 but 21 reasons to become Agile this year. So, grab a hot chocolate, a coffee or anything that makes you happy and let us introduce you to the first 10.

10 Reasons Why Agile is Better!

  1. Agile means less cost, since the Product Owner is there, with the whole team, as part of the creation which means that feedback can be close to immediate, eliminating long procedures, misunderstandings and time spent.
  2. Agile means less risk since, as they become part of the team, POs can clarify requirements on the spot, which means that nobody ends up developing the wrong software, as could happen in more Waterfall approaches.
  3. Agile means innovation, since the creative and developing team, doesn’t have to wait until finishing their work to introduce any addition or to adapt to an industry development, because agile methods are based on frequent iterations.
  4. Agile means faster development, since every two weeks the product is one sprint closer to its final stage and everyone is involved in the process which means that no time is wasted.
  5. Agile means higher quality, since the team focuses on smaller parts of the product, which means that they don’t sacrifice energy on the whole picture but put effort only on the quality of the respected sprint’s work.
  6. Agile means better productivity, since agile teams are self-coordinated and accountable for the work they do. That gives them a sense of ownership and helps them to be more efficient.
  7. Agile means real communication, since the work-force becomes a cross-functional team that develops and supports the product. That unites them and gives them a single purpose which by itself makes communication easier and more effective.
  8. Agile means flexibility, since test automation and continuous integration promise smooth flows, even if a requirement was added after the beginning of the development.
  9. Agile means transparency, since the teams coordinate daily, collaborate
    continuously with the business, inspect, adapt and improve their work together.
  10. Agile means happier people, from clients to employees, since they all share a common goal, work together closely, share a vision and communicate effectively for the good of the product and the team.
