Agile Actors focuses on creating a dynamic learning ecosystem. As we do understand the need for continuous improvement and self-development we pay attention to establishing a nurturing learning environment for our professionals. Our GROW model consists of three main pillars: Coaching, Training and Practice. Today we will take a closer look at Coaching and delve into the human perspective of it. More specifically we will focus on the relationship between a Coach and a Coachee and the impact this learning model has on their professional and personal lives.

Once someone joins Agile Actors they are assigned a coach.

For Coachees at the beginning, it is rather difficult to fully grasp the power of the coaching model applied. Especially since they have not experienced anything like that before.

The coaching program and the coach himself are foundational pillars upon which I have built the momentum of my technical and mental growth and I would not trade that for anything.

However, for Coaches too, the model provides some rather fascinating experiences.

In the end, it is a constant course that I attend, one that provides me with challenges to overcome, that brings the best out of me and benefits my development as a professional as well.

Through this model of continuous support and coaching the Coachee receives guidance, builds a relationship with the Coach and can share their concerns. What is more, a Coachee gets the chance to connect with someone with the same background. The fact that the Coach can provide help and assistance for issues that they have experienced many times in the past gives the Coachee a sense of belongingness and establishes trust between the two.

Showing my coach pieces of my work pushes me to keep learning, exploring, and expanding my knowledge even further.

But the guidance provided is not limited to concerns regarding work and the working environment.

There are times that I need a second opinion on how to navigate the occasional office conflict or help me make decisions about the direction of my career. Someone to observe my soft skills and help me improve by recognizing what I am doing right and where there is room for improvement.

But for the coach as well, this discursive and transparent communication with the coachee is a way to get to know themselves better.

As a coach, I also gain massively from the relationship with them.

It is this powerful, dynamic and supportive model of continuous nurturing that makes Agile Actors and this coaching model unique. We focus not only on the technical side and honing their coding and programming skills but also on the human side and helping them develop the necessary soft skills to thrive in life. The latter is equally important for their personal and professional life and they cannot be without those especially since they need to work as part of a team, collaborate and build relationships. This is a dynamic model of coaching that is based on raw technical knowledge and advancing as well as building the foundations of personal growth.
