When I started my Product Management journey, I immediately turned to Google to search for whatever information I could find to help structure my learning. After spending 1000's dollars on my engineering and master’s degree, I couldn't afford to spend more on courses or books. So I looked for free seminars, learning materials, books that are informational to get into the ecosystem without investing monetarily.
If you are reading this article, I am sure you are in the same boat.
One thing that helped me was taking up some LinkedIn Learning courses which I had access to as a part of my university resources. The Becoming a Product Manager course by Cole Mercer on LinkedIn Learning helped me cover the basics of this role. If you haven’t activated your LinkedIn Premium yet, you can do it with a 1-month free trial that gives you access to LinkedIn Learning as well. (Wow if only I got a dollar for every time I said LinkedIn in this paragraph, I would probably be able to partially afford the subscription.)
