Some news out of Pennsylvania, where Gov.-elect Tom Wolf named his secretary of aging. Teresa Osborne, head of a Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging, will lead the department.

Osborne helped pass “Peggy’s Law,” which implemented mandatory reporting for suspected elderly abuse in Pennsylvania.

PennLive reports:

“Teresa Osborne has over two decades of experience working with and advocating for the elderly and the disadvantaged,” Wolf said. “Her management experience, as well her record enhancing Pennsylvania’s response to elder abuse and exploitation, make her a solid fit to lead the Department of Aging.”
