Paul Reuter, the founder of Reuters, in the 1800s used homing pigeons to transmit mission critical news and information for business people to make decisions. He would go on to use technology to build a better information delivery, the logical progress was telegraph, then telephony, computerisation. Now after 160 years, Reuters announced their foray into Audio.

Reuters Audio is meant for publishers to tell audio narratives as podcasts, and on AI enabled smart speakers such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa.

The rise of Voice and Audio is no secret, India is in fact the fastest growing market for voice adoption, and today, we are incredibly excited to announce The Morning Brief podcast, jointly produced by partnering with The Economic Times.

The Morning Brief podcast

The Economic Times is India’s leading news publication and having an ongoing collaboration with them means authentic, credible and reliable news delivered as podcasts for business-people.

True to the print paper’s position as a ‘smart brief’ for a business-person, The Morning Brief takes it into the aural dimension. The podcast seeks to ‘humanise’ the most significant and/or interesting business story/s of the day.
