My local Farmer’s Market in Sao Paulo, Brazil

WEDNESDAY — I couldn’t say that my life has a routine. There some weeks that I’m traveling and my routine is absolutely the absence of routine. Although, when I’m at home, I choose to dive into my family routine and the Farmer’s market has a huge role in this.

This is the place where I can find fresh produce. The ritual always starts in the same way, cashing some money and walking with my shopping bags to buy fresh vegetables and fruits.

After seeing people stock piling food on TV, I’d confess, I was anxious about prices and food availability, instead of if, what I saw was a Farmer’s market full of fresh products.

My son’s 2 year’s birthday

I think, my children’s recollection and scarcity of products made me buy slightly more products than usual. I could say, I’m happy to be able to have enough food to feed my family in the upcoming days.

Yesterday, was my son’s second anniversary, we backed a cake, and in three we’ve celebrated the date.
I never thought, one day I would face something similar to this pandemic. Over the years I’ve learned that we can’t control everything.

This enemy is invisible, but it already has started to take some lives. It’s painful to think about the families losing dear ones. It just makes more clear that we must play our roles staying at home.

My plan for Day 4 is to post-produce the ESPN show that I must edit monthly. For the third time in my life, I’ll upload it, instead of hand delivering. It’s 24GB to upload to the server. However, I can save precious time in the streets keeping my quarantine.

It isn’t impossible to live this experience without thinking about the war times. How hard it could be having your routine deprived, your freedom transformed in lockdown.
