Who is RJ Boyle?
This fish shop, as you may have guessed by now, is owned and operated by the famous RJ Boyle, known mainly for his expertise if fishing and catching Swordfish (Bill-fish) around the world. I couldn’t possibly leave out that he is also a very good artist. I will include a link to the RJ Boyle Bio here (RJ Boyle Bio) but, to quickly run down the man, the myth, and the legend, RJ Boyle is a man that has risen through the ranks of the fishing world to reach his current level of expertise and standing. Starting at the age of 14, RJ was mate on the Helen S (A charter boat in Pompano Beach) where he excelled as a mate both on and off this particular boat. As serious as he was about fishing he was also a great baseball player, something he ended up spending a bit more time on in college and eventually in the minor leagues, but he never forgot his routes and soon returned the blue waters of South Eastern Florida.
Upon his return RJ Boyle began to hit the fishing tournament circuit hard, taking his talents around some of the best fishing spots the world had to offer. After several years he would again be called home, this time for the birth of his second daughter when R.J. decided the half a year he was spending away from home was simply no longer a sacrifice he was willing to make. Besides being home more for his family there was another reason R.J’s choice paid off, the recreational swordfish boom had just got underway. While honing is skills as an expert on fishing swordfish, R.J. Continued to work on several tournament boats and today finds himself an accomplished fisherman, artist, and store owner all of which are “docked” at R.J. Boyle Studio is Lighthouse Point, Florida.

The R.J. Boyle Studio Features a Full Tackle Shop that also offers rigged and rigged bait, which is important to stress so that no one thinks this is strictly a swordfish or billfish fishing shop. In addition to your fishing trip essentials, you can find fishing clothing and apparel or even have your own custom apparel made to your boat or fishing team (Because R.J. is an artist, remember?!).
