I didn’t realize rhymes are more powerful than stories & statistics.

Once upon a time, there lived a young monk. He just joined a monastery and the older monks were sagaciously creating new manuscripts from old ones.

The young monk asked the senior most monk , “all the new scripts seem to copy verbatim from the older copies. What about the originals?”

The older monk thought about it and said, “We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son.”

He then dug deep into the dungeons of storage to trace the originals. And was gone for while.

Worried, the young monk ventured down in search of the senior monk.

He found him. And the senior monk’s face was beet red. The young monk asked him what held him back.

The old monk said, “The original scripts show celebrate your life. Somewhere along the way, the word became celibate your life.”

Personal view: This story is more memorable than “pause to the smell the roses.” And funnier way to say — don’t be a blind copy, question what matters.
