AI Illustrated Classics: The Silver Chair
Reimagined by Obsidian Eagle and rendered with Midjourney V5.
Greetings AI art enthusiasts! I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been holding back on purpose. Midjourney recently updated to version 5 and I’ve gotten rather good with it, if I do say so myself. Anyway, today I’m going to continue with my Chronicles of Narnia kick. Somebody on Twitter voted for Yours Truly to re-illustrate The Silver Chair, and I do aim to please my growing audience!
WARNING: Spoilers Ahead!
0. Brief Overview
Following the events told in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the cousin of the four original wardrobe kids (the Pevensies), Eustace Scrubb returns to Narnia. He is spirited there by Aslan the lion along with his friend Jill Pole, after being chased by bullies at their school, Experiment House.
Jill is tasked with remembering four signs given to her by Aslan. These signs are to help guide the two children on a quest to rescue the missing Prince Rillian; son of King Caspian X.
The Silver Chair chronicles what is undoubtedly one of the darker periods in Narnian history — although to be sure — Aslan tends only to bring in outsiders whenever circumstances have become bleak.
