Hello there fellow AI Art enthusiasts! It’s been a while, hasn’t it?

Nevertheless, you can trust that Yours Truly has been up to plenty of Prompt Engineering in the background as usual. And as you’re probably aware by now, Midjourney recently released version 6 Alpha — along with some long awaited functionalities. Not least of which is character consistency via the — cref command switch. This has a lot of us very excited because MJ has already let on that they’re working on AI video generation for release in the not-too-distant future. In other words, we’re well on our way toward an innovative form of animation!

Anyhow, in today’s showcase, I’ll be demonstrating the usefulness of this fancy new feature using a few of my own original characters. I’ll link some of the stories that they first appeared in near the bottom of this post. So let’s jump right into it…

1. Panurgeh — The Power Clown

I’ve been making AI Art since September 2022, and Panurgeh was one of the first characters that I rendered. Panurgeh is a somewhat androgynous Pierrot mime, monochromatic in appearance. For my character reference, I used this Midjourney 5.2 version, which is quite simply badass:
