How MidJourney’s 2025 Tools Simplify Character Consistency

Personalisation, Moodboards, sref and cref can be utilised to create consistent characters and scenes.

If you are developing a Midjourney story character, these are the simple steps to set things up in light of updates leading up to 2025. All in no particular order. Creating images with Midjourney, like any art form, is an iterative process. There are many steps involved, and if everything is going as you want, keep going in that direction. If it starts going pear-shaped, track back and take a different tack.

Moodboards

You set up moodboards by uploading a bunch of images and then setting that moodboard as the profile for the image.
