STEP #1: choose a mugshot for your character. Best if it has been created in MJ somehow. I chopped this off a full body and upscaled it.

Remember, this is just a reference, not the finished deal. In mine, he’s a bit freckly in this reference, but the freckles disappear because I don’t mention them. If you want freckles mention it in the text prompt.

STEP #2: Use it as a character reference to create more of the body and use the best of those as character references.
