Midjourney V7 Is Here, And It’s Bigger Than You Think
With more features than one article can hold, we’re diving into a few highlights that’ll spark curiosity, whether you’re brand new, coming back, or already deep in the journey.
My first reaction to V7 was that the Midjourney team had finally broken it. So many new things didn’t seem to line up with old things. I asked myself, “Should I just stick with v6.1?”
I soon moved on from this position, particularly when I discovered you could teach MJ a named character description and iterate it in different images just using the name.
Please stick with me as I wade through some new features and try to make sense of them. It may save you some time.
First, I’ll list some of the changes and hope I don’t miss any. Then, I’ll delve into some of them and share what I find.
The Changes
- Personalisation is turned on by default. It must be unlocked to use it, and it takes 5 minutes to do so. You can toggle it on or off.
- Draft Mode: 10 times faster for quick iteration.
