In this fast-paced world, I embarked on a two-week meditation journey inspired by Niksen and Stoicism. Listening to the almighty lord Ryan Holiday and ancient philosophy of Stoicism, I sought inner peace amidst chaos. Drawing from Niksen and Stoicism, I integrated moments of stillness into my routine, embracing mindfulness.

🗺️ The Path Ahead

Stoicism let me be strong during challenges and setbacks which was quite a lot (I’m happy you guys can’t see me shouting when I broke my 2 day streak). I used an app, Medito (iOS and Android), that helped me gamify meditation, create a streak of 2 weeks, or 14 days. I meditated for 3 minutes (maybe 5) 25 minutes before I slept, allowing me to improve my sleep quality.

One week in, my stress diminished, replaced by calm and clarity, enhancing overall well-being. And as the days passed, I noticed a remarkable shift in my mindset and emotional well-being. Stress and anxiety, once a constant friend of mine, began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of calm and equanimity. Even in moments of failure or disappointment (i.e. Valentine’s Day), I found myself resilient and unwavering.

🤔 What I Think?

In a world that glorifies busyness and constant activity, the practice of meditation offers a sanctuary of stillness amidst the chaos. By embracing mindfulness and cultivating inner peace, we can unlock our true potential and live with greater clarity, purpose, and resilience. As I embark on the next chapter of my journey, I carry with me the timeless wisdom of Niksen and Stoicism, guiding me towards a life of balance, serenity, and fulfilment.
