[Announcement] AIN Reward Policy Update on AI Network x DSRV Platform
Since June ’21, AI Network has launched the AI Network x DSRV platform for community members, where anyone can easily participate as an AI Network worker node. And in less than a month, a lot of people have actively joined the platform. Thank you for your interest and participation.
In order to repay your active participation, AI Network has decided to introduce the ‘AIN reward policy linked to AIN price fluctuations’ in the DSRV platform. After that, all AI Network worker nodes on the DSRV platform can receive stable AIN rewards regardless of AIN price fluctuations.
Overview of AIN Reward Policy Update on DSRV Platform
AIN reward, which is now paid at a fixed price on the DSRV platform, will be newly paid at a variable price from July 7, 2021. The variable price for the AIN reward calculation will be updated daily, and the calculation criteria are as follows:
Variable price calculation for AIN reward
- Formula: AIN’s Moving Average Price for 60 days — Standard Deviation x 2
- ‘Standard Deviation x 2’ cannot exceed 30% of ‘AIN’s Moving Average Price for 60 days’ (upper limit)
2. Update time: Everyday at 00:00 UTC (09:00 KST)
3. Reward payment cycle: Paid every hour from 00:00 to 23:00 UTC
- From 00:00 UTC the next day, the newly updated variable price will be applied
4. Reference information: USD price of AIN provided by CoinGecko
Example of variable price applied (as of June 30, 2021)
- Calculation factors
- AIN’s Moving Average Price for 60 days: USD 0.1467
- Standard Deviation x 2: USD 0.0755 (USD 0.0377 x 2)
- The Standard Deviation x 2 (USD 0.0755) exceeds 30% of the AIN’s Moving Average Price for 60 days (USD 0.0440)
- Accordingly, 30% of the AIN’s Moving Average Price for 60 days (USD 0.0440) is applied as the upper limit.
2. Calculation result
- Variable price: USD 0.1027 (USD 0.1467 — USD 0.044 = USD 0.1027)
3. Comparison of AIN reward (As-is vs. To-be)
As shown in the chart above, the AIN reward will be calculated by the variable price. Accordingly, when the AIN price falls, a larger amount of AIN is paid as a reward.
Subject to the updated AIN Reward Policy
- Applied to all AIN worker nodes that start participating through the DSRV platform after 00:00 UTC on July 7, 2021.
- The start date of the AIN worker node must be after 00:00 UTC on July 7, 2021.
- New contract: The operation of new AIN worker node starts after 00:00 UTC on July 7, 2021
- Contract renewal: The operation of existing AIN worker node is renewed and starts after 00:00 UTC on July 7, 2021
※ Caution: The AIN worker nodes started before 00:00 UTC on July 7, 2021, the current AIN reward policy at a fixed price is applied for 30 days from the starting date. (same for new contract and contract renewal)
The daily updated variable price for AIN reward on the DSRV platform can be checked in the ‘Node’ category of the AI Network official webpage from July 7, 2021.
The calculation criteria for the AIN reward on the DSRV platform may be modified in the future. When new changes are scheduled, we will notify you through the community in advance.
