AI Network held ‘OpenResource Hackathon Seoul 2019’ under the theme of ‘Open Source to Open Resource’ at Google Campus Seoul on 12/7. The challenge for the participants was to show open code as a service using Ainize: serverless cloud service based on AI Network.

After the morning lecture session, 35 participants focused on the Hackathon, implementing their Github project through Ainize for about 5 hours from 12 pm. Participants submitted creative projects such as Korean Morphology Analyzer API, Image Resilization and Compression Libraries. Since then, the winners of the first, second, and third best projects have been voted directly by participants. It reflects the realization of open source philosophy.

Ham Jong-hyun, a third year student at Korea Digital Media High School, won first place by setting up ‘HTTP API to identify slang based on AI.’ Ainize, used in this hackathon, will be linked to the blockchain cloud early next year. The blockchain cloud will help the contributors who provided the program and computing resources to receive the corresponding reward.
