2021 Thriving Guilds

Despite the pandemic, we see thriving guilds in 2021. For our five guilds (Frontend Guild, Java Guild, NodeJS Guild, Cloud Guild, and Testing Guild), compared to 2020, the number of sharing sessions has quadrupled and the momentum has grown and expanded beyond the department to the division. A few guilds have started to diversify the activities by introducing the pet project etc, which makes the guilds sustainable.

Running sustainable tech communities is never an easy task, not to mention in a non-tech company. We have had two failed attempts in the past three years. Every time we get knocked down, we get up stronger. I am extremely proud of being part of the amazing team, when others are chasing their golden eggs, we are committed to taking care of our goose. Maintaining the balance of P/PC is often a difficult judgment call. The lighthouse for us is striving to create a better environment for our co-workers.
