Today, AI technologies influence many aspects of our lives and will continue expanding. According to Fortune Business Insights, the Artificial Intelligence market is projected to grow from $387.45 billion in 2022 to $1,394.30 billion by 2029.

Our company believes this sphere has great potential, and that’s why we are searching for new ways to implement AI technologies into our products. Let’s look at some AI trends and focus on how we’ve followed some of them in our apps.

1. More affordable AI integration

AI technologies have become more affordable for developers as well as for ordinary users. One of the most meaningful events for developers in 2022 — the free neural network with open code Stable Diffusion — was published for the public. It can create images based on text prompts. Now, this technology is available to everyone.

Many AI-based mobile apps are available for mass users, no matter what their technical skills or budgets are. One of the great examples is our app Count This, which was developed for small businesses. It helps to count similar objects automatically, saving time, money, and effort. Instead of buying expensive additional equipment, our users can simply integrate AI-based service into their work and scale it among all employees by having them use their phones.

2. The emergence of creative AI

This trend seems particularly interesting, and its influence is the most noticeable. With AI getting creative, anyone can draw original ideas and feel the flow of creativity coming into their lives.

Recently, AIBY Group launched the AI Art app on both iOS and Android platforms. Three months after its release, AI Art became #2 in the App Store Top Charts in the USA based on the number of downloads. The app allows users to generate unique images based on text prompts, turn sketches into stunning paintings, or create magic avatars from selfies. AI Art may facilitate the job of designers, journalists, and anyone who needs creative images for their work. If you want to see aliens partying in a club or a puppy lying on a rainbow, the AI algorithm will bring your craziest ideas to life in a matter of seconds.

Another example of creative AI is the Decorio app, an AI room planner. All you need to do is to take a photo of your room, and Decorio will create a unique design made just for you, taking your room measurements into account.

3. Development of AI technology in business

2023 will be a new stage of AI implementation in business. Previously, it was used for routine decision automatization, but nowadays, it could help develop new business models to improve customer service.

That’s why it has significant potential, especially in customer relationship management (CRM) software — platforms for managing a company’s customer relationships and interactions. An example here is Salesforce Einstein, a set of advanced AI technologies for the Salesforce CRM. Things are pretty logical here: Salesforce deals with customer data collection, while Einstein processes the collected data and provides businesses with valuable knowledge and insights. It can be used in various spheres, ranging from sales and marketing to services and IT. Basically, it can predict customer behavior and potential scenarios of further events.

Domino’s Pizza uses AI technology to make sure that the pizza from the oven conforms to quality standards. Trained with lots of photos of high-quality pizzas, the electronic quality system recognizes the type of pizza and analyzes the quality of the topping.

Our company also provides a number of AI solutions for businesses: the Count This app is suitable for construction or medicine companies; parks can use the NatureID app for plant identification; and the iScanner app, a scanning and document management platform, is a great tool for teachers (by the way, we grant educators free access to the iScanner PRO version — more information can be found here).

4. AI language generation and chatbots

Natural-language understanding and generation is one of the fast-growing sectors of AI. The story of chatbots began many years ago, but their widespread use has pushed their development further away. In everyday life, we face not only chatbot systems while dealing with call centers but also voice-controlled devices and voice assistants (Google Assistant by Google, Siri by Apple, Cortana by Microsoft). This technology has become more and more “talkative” and “eloquent.”

A breakthrough is GPT-3 by OpenAI, a neural network model that uses deep learning to produce human-like text. It can create poetry, prose, news, posts, and jokes, translate, solve examples, give descriptions, answer questions on what it has read, structure information, and even program. The quality of the text generated by GPT-3 is so high that it can be difficult to tell whether or not it was written by a human.

Our company keeps up with the times, and recently, we have launched the Kiyo app. Powered by Chat GPT and GPT-3 technologies by Open AI, the AI chatbot can respond to different questions and perform a wide range of tasks from holding a casual conversation to generating creative content.

5. Increased demand for qualified specialists in AI and ML

The boom of AI technologies has led to a need for more skilled and trained data scientists and AI software engineers. It’s quite challenging to find highly qualified employees nowadays — especially those with the right skills. Lack of professional resources could be one of the most significant barriers to further AI development.

Our company is looking for talented Computer Vision, Data Science, and Machine Learning experts, so if you’re interested, look through our vacancies on aiby.com/careers.

Conclusion

One thing is certain: AI has already become part and parcel of the world. This sphere is booming, and 2023 will open new opportunities and innovations for our users and products as AI spreads throughout all spheres of life, science, and business and becomes more and more affordable for mass users.
