In conversation with the Mayor of Taipei

About the potential of blockchain technology in public sector

The last two weeks, AID:Tech has been on the ground in Taipei, Taiwan as part of a city program — Global Talents @ Taipei 2018.

Together with selected international startups, we have had the opportunity to be plugged into the country’s growing startup ecosystem and hit the ground running. As well as being part of Computex — one of the largest technology trade shows in the world, we had the opportunity to speak with the city’s Mayor in person about the potential impact of our technology for the city’s public sector service delivery. Speaking with Mayor Ko Wen-je was an honour, who even suggested that upcoming elections should consider the use of blockchain technology.
